Search and Rescue can be a rewarding endeavour, but it demands both commitment and training. You will learn Outdoor skills, first aid, team work, and have the opportunity to see and do things that most people never get to! An eagerness to learn is important. Applicants to the team should be prepared to participate in training, search and rescue operations, and other team activities.
Training Program
- The GSAR training program runs mid-September to mid-December.
- Participants must be available for two 6-hour sessions and one 4-hour session each week during this period.
