Arrowsmith SAR has outgrown its Alberni Highway’s facility shared with the Combs-Hillier’s Fire Department. Unable to expand on the current site, ASAR began discussions with Qualicum Beach and a site was selected at the airport in 2019. Over the winter and spring, we received approval of building plans and permits for the new Operation Centre. In the fall, ASAR cleared and serviced the land, and designed and built the outer shell of the new building. The project is progressing as planned wit

Bruce and Dee
Congratulations to Dee Collins and Bruce Wall! They both completed certification for Rope Rescue Technician 1 this past weekend. We are so proud of these two for their dedication and service to Arrowsmith SAR.

Congratulations to our MIT Graduates! They have put in over 300 hours of training to complete the MIT program. They have covered all the basic and are looking forward to starting their Ground Search and Rescue training as soon as possible. Due to the current situation we were not able to get a group photo. However, we did get some of them to snap a selfie with their gear! Please join us in welcoming our new members to ASAR!
