⛑️Arrowsmith SAR (ASAR) was one of the grateful recipients of a donation from Qualicum Legion Branch 76. Their generous donation of $2000 will help Arrowsmith SAR purchase a drone with a thermal camera to help in searches for missing people.
❤️Emergency Management and Climate Readiness (EMCR) recently approved the use of drones by BC SAR Teams. ASAR has purchased 2 small drones for training and operational tasks, the addition of a drone with thermal camera will further enhance our capabilities. ASAR is very excited to start this program and with continues support from the community we plan to add larger drones that can be used in more adverse weather conditions in the new year.
