🌞🌲 Long Weekend Safety Reminder 🌲🌞

As we head into the long weekend, we know many of you will be out hiking 🥾, camping ⛺, paddling 🚣, or just enjoying Vancouver Island’s great outdoors.

Wherever your adventure takes you, remember to:
🧭 Plan ahead – know your route & tell someone your plan
🎒 Pack the essentials – first aid, food, water, flashlight, map
📱 Be prepared – cell service isn’t always reliable, so don’t depend on it
🔥 Stay wildfire aware – follow fire bans & keep our forests safe

Our volunteers are on call 24/7 🚨, but the best rescue is the one we don’t need to make.

Enjoy the beauty of our backyard, stay safe, and have a fantastic long weekend! ❤️
